Modified Growth Releasing Factor aminos 1-29, commonly known as Modified GRF (1-29) or Mod GRF(1-29), and also referred to as CJC-1295 without DAC, is an artificial version of the natural peptide signaling hormone Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH).

Mod GRF (1-29) (CJC-1295 no DAC) is a long-acting analog of GHRH. Growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), which can also be called growth-hormone-releasing factor (GRF or GHRF) or somatocrinin, is a peptide hormone consisting of 44 amino acids, produced in the hypothalamus by the arcuate nucleus. GHRH triggers the secretion of growth hormone (GH) from the pituitary gland. It is released in a pulsatile fashion, which in turn stimulates the pulsatile release of GH. This substance is also associated with promoting slow wave sleep. The active segment of this GRF or GHRH peptide is identified as a 29 amino acid peptide, referred to as GHRH 1-29. The pulsatile release of several peptides is governed by the negative feedback loop that is an integral part of the hGH axis, regulating the quantity of hGH produced by the body to maintain a stable internal environment.

Mod GRF (1-29) (CJC-1295 no DAC), according to in vivo studies and findings published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, has demonstrated dose-dependent increases in mean plasma GH concentrations by 2-10 times for over 6 days and elevated IGF-1 concentrations by 1.5-3 times for 9-11 days following a single injection.
